What you need to know:
- Insert the earthing rod into the soil, ensuring a depth of approximately 20-30 cm (about 8–12 inches).
- The grounding cord (12m long) can be routed through a window, door gap, or sliding door rebate to the rod placed outside.
- This method provides an alternative earthing connection if connecting via your power outlet is not practical - or if you prefer a direct earth from your device rather than through your property’s electrical system.
- The ground rods can be used with all Grounding products
Setting Up Your Grounding Rod & Lead:
- Begin by inserting the Grounding Rod into the soil.
- Extend the cord from the Grounding Rod, routing it around or beneath a window or door, close to where you intend to use your device.
- Safeguard the cord by covering it, preventing any tripping hazards.
- Insert the pronged end of the cord into the socket on the Grounding Rod lead. In dry areas, such as inland or desert regions, lightly water the soil around the rod from time to time to improve conductivity.
